BAR STAFF

We are looking to recruit event bar staff to join our dynamic team working at a variety of events to include Weddings, Tribute Nights, Parties, Christenings, Funerals etc.

Full training will be given.

Duties Include

  • The sale of refreshments and snacks for the bar with an awareness of current prices.
  • To ensure all sales are correctly recorded in the till system, full training will be given.
  • To ensure all transactions are completed correctly including the payment of all goods
  • To ensure the bar, Conservatory, Pool room are kept clean and tidy and in a timely manor
  • Regularly check the area to ensure glasses are collected and tables are kept clean and tidy
  • The bar is closed down at the end of the evening and left clean, tidy and well stocked ready for the next shift
  • Maintain a high level of personal hygiene
  • Interact with customers when required maintaining a polite and friendly disposition at all times
  • Deal with any customer complaints in a polite and friendly manner

Any other duties as required from time to time.

DUTY MANAGER - EVENINGS & WEEKENDS

We are looking for a dynamic person to help our dedicated team grow to expand and develop our relationship with our members and guests.

You will support and assist the General Manager or the Deputy/Assistant in managing all aspects of this busy Sports and Social Club. Ensure that the facilities and service are of the highest standard for our members, guests and other clients / visitors.  Responsible for staff management and training. 

From time to time the job description will be reviewed and amended to reflect changes in demand.

Full training will be given.

Main Relationships

To develop and sustain positive working relationships with the members, clients and staff.

Main Duties

  • Responsible for overseeing the venue’s services in the absence of the General Manager or the Deputy.
  • Where appropriate, assist in overseeing staff training and recruitment and keep appropriate records whilst developing the processes used.
  • To assist in the development, management and motivation of staff at all levels.
  • To ensure that all staff are appropriately dressed as laid down by The Club rules and its required dress standards.
  • To assist with operational resourcing in workforce planning and employee development.
  • Where appropriate, assist in the management of contracts and manage renewal terms of suppliers.
  • To take overall responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the bar.
  • Have a full knowledge and understanding of Cellar management.
  • To ensure that sufficient stocks are available for sale and displayed to their best advantage to obtain the greatest level of sales and profitability.
  • To comply with all licensing law regulations in the service of alcoholic beverages, hot drinks and meals at the stated and permitted times.
  • To ensure that all members, visitors and guests are welcomed in a professional and consistent manner.
  • To complete a visual inspection of all areas prior to opening correcting any deficiencies where possible or reporting to the line manager any defects that need attention.
  • To regularly conduct pipe cleaning and cellar maintenance in accordance with the supplier’s guidelines
  • To assist in the initiation and implementation of systems, operational policies and procedures to ensure maximum efficiency across all operations.
  • To act as an ambassador for the Club in actively promoting its services through the appropriate channels and platforms and upholding the Clubs values and ethos.
  • To assist in the development, review and maintenance of policies associated with managing risk, including health and safety, security and environment.
  • Help and advise in the completion of risk assessments and review procedures.
  • Prepare venue for events (can involve heavy lifting)

     

    Hours

    40 hours per week, Rota will be issued 3 weeks in advance. There is an opportunity to work overtime when required

    EVENTS MANGER

    We are seeking a dedicated and organised Events Coordinator to manage and oversee all aspects of event planning and execution. The ideal candidate will handle booking inquiries, coordinate event details, and ensure seamless communication among clients, vendors, and staff. Familiarity with event management software is advantageous but not essential.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Booking Management: Monitor and respond promptly to a high volume of daily calls and emails related to event enquiries.
    • Event Documentation: Input confirmed bookings into the Bookings Database.
    • Event Planning: Develop comprehensive room plans for events, incorporating catering requirements and ensuring adherence to clients’ dietary needs and allergen considerations.
    • Meal Coordination: Analyse and cross-check client-provided meal sheets thoroughly with the catering department to ensure accuracy and compliance with dietary requirements.
    • Financial Coordination: Upload all upsell items prior to events and generate pro-forma invoices along with payment links to secure payments in advance.
    • Payment Processing: Record payments received via the office and record this information onto multiple systems.
    • Client Relations: Conduct venue tours for prospective clients, clearly explaining catering packages and pricing structures.
    • Team Collaboration: Liaise with all relevant staff to finalise event requirements, ensuring catering teams are informed of necessary details, including any specific allergens.
    • Digital Signage Management: Update digital signage daily to reflect current and upcoming events.
    • Marketing Support: Create signs, flyers, and menus as required for events.
    • Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as required to meet the needs of the business.

    Qualifications

    • Proven experience in event coordination or a related role.
    • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends/evenings , as required by the business.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint and Excel (with knowledge of formulas).
    • Familiarity with Google Sheets is advantageous but not essential.
    • Familiarity with ticket tailor is advantageous but not essential.
    • Knowledge of dietary requirements and allergen management in event settings.

    Salary: £27,000pa

    WAITING STAFF

    Would you like to work in a busy restaurant style environment?

    We are looking for a customer focussed individual who would like to join a keen and energetic team of staff, who has excellent customer service skills.

    Duties Include

    • Welcoming customers
    • Answering questions related to the menu
    • Delivering orders
    • Ensure that customers have an enjoyable dining experience
    • Be polite and friendly
    • Cleaning the tables after customers
    • Confirming that the food items match the orders and delivering them at the tables
    • Inquiring if the customers are satisfied
    • Setting Up and operating the coffee station
    • Liaise with the Head Chef regarding service

    A knowledge of silver service is preferable but not essential.
