We have four tennis courts and a multi-play all weather court. The multi-play and two of the tennis courts can be floodlit on payment of a small charge for a token which can be obtained from the General Office or from the main bar after office hours. Two of the tennis courts and the multi-play court can be converted into a netball court if required.
Behind the tennis courts are two fully lit and heated squash courts, which are avaliable from 8:30am to 9pm. These are bookable and tokens may be obtained from the Members Bar or the Main Office. Please contact the General Office to reserve your court
METROPOLITAN POLICE (HAYES) BOWLS CLUB
This club was formed in 1935 and is a very active sports section of The Warren.
The bowling green is open to all personnel of the MPS who are members of The Warren and opens mid April and closes at the end of September. Play is allowed from 1pm daily, unless the green is being used by the Bowls Club. A diary is kept in the pavilion which gives details of all Bowls Club fixtures.
Membership of the Bowls Club is open to all personnel of the MPS who are members of The Warren and will be requested to pay a registration fee to join the Bowls Club. The Bowls Club has an agreed allocation of 12 associate members who are not part of the MPS or members of The Warren and can apply to join on application to The Bowls Club secretary and then be interviewed by the Bowls Club committee as to suitability for associate membership of the Bowls Club. The Bowls Club has a full list of fixtures each year with various clubs in the surrounding area, plus 12 indoor friendly games during the winter months. The fixtures are a mixture of competitive games and friendly games. The Club has a qualified bowls coach. Practice games, or as they are known “roll-ups” normally take place on Tuesday and Friday afternoons, or at any other time when the green is not being used for a match.
For details on becoming part of the MP (Hayes) BC, please contact: Tim Hodges, Hon Secretary, on 020 8851 9739 / firstname.lastname@example.org
